On Saturday 8 March, in London, England, over 300 people attended the Food Festival organised by MLMIF volunteers.
This event was part of an ongoing campaign to support those most in need around the world. A few months ago, aid was delivered to India, and this time, the focus was on helping a vulnerable community in Bamenda, Cameroon.
The Food Festival featured a wide variety of delicious culinary specialties, generously donated by volunteers. Guests enjoyed live music, raffles, competitions, and the now-popular lottery created especially for the Foundation’s events. It was a very pleasant sunny afternoon for all ages, with children joining in by entertaining the audience with their dancing and musical talents.
During the event, moving videos featuring real-life stories were shown. Filmed by an MLMIF volunteer in Bamenda, these videos featured people sharing the challenges they face: they lack food, bathrooms in their homes, doors for security, and their children cannot afford to study, among many other difficulties they have to face on a daily basis. The funds raised will be used to provide aid to 120 of these people in need.
We are deeply grateful to all of the volunteers for their dedication to this invaluable work, led by Dr. María Luisa Piraquive. Thanks to their efforts, the MLMIF has been able to reach the most remote corners of the world, bringing help to those who need it most.
